Originally designed in 1980, the Bedale jacket was born of Barbour's passion for riding. It embodies a short, lightweight outerwear option, combining versatility and functionality. Dame Margaret Barbour conceptualized the Bedale with the equestrian lifestyle in mind, incorporating features such as a shorter length, relaxed fit, back slits and an essential nylon inner band that effectively repels moisture from horses, protecting the jacket. Made from medium 6-oz. waxed cotton, this jacket is fully interactive, allowing for the eventual addition of thermal liners and removable zip-off hoods, making it suitable for year-round wear and versatile for different occasions.
